Cosán Glas - Siúlóid Lán Gealaí
Tá na deilbh soilsithe de chuid An Cosan Glas ag teacht go dtí Siúlóid na hAbhann, Clochán Liath, ar an chéad lá do Mhí Lúnasa, 202, ar feadh oíche amháin.
Chomh maith le sin beidh mórshiúl rannpháirtíochta poiblí le lóchrainn agus drumaí
The illuminated sculptures by the renowned Cosan Glas are coming to the River Walk, Dungloe on August 1st, 2023, for one night only.
The night will also feature a public participation lantern and drum procession.
Ar feadh beagnach 20 bliain, líon an comhchoiteann ealaíona An Cosan Glas trá Mhachaire Rabhartaigh le rian dealbhóireachta soilsithe fá choinne an seó clúiteach darbh ainm 'Loinnir.' Bhí an-tóir orthu go deo, agus mheall siad léir mór cuairteoirí chun Páirc an Bhaile i Leitir Ceanainn gach bliain don Oíche Chultúir.

The renowned arts collective An Cosan Glas filled the sand dunes of Magheraroarty beach with the popular Loinnir night time illuminated sculpture trail for nearly 20 years, attracting streams of visitors. For many years they also brought their magical collection of artwork to Letterkenny Town Park for Culture Night.
Samhlaigh Arts Collective and Mary from Dungloe are delighted to host their enchanting work at the River Walk, Dungloe on August 1st, 2023.

Ealaíontóir proifisiúnta í Hilary Gilligan a rugadh is a tógadh i gContae Shligigh. Is léachtóir sa Mhínealaín í in Ollscoil Theicneolaíochta an Atlantaigh, Sligeach.
Fuair sí oideachas in Éirinn, Ceanada agus bronnadh Máistreacht sa Mhínealaín uirthí ó Ollscoil Uladh, Béal Feirste i 1997
Tá cleachtas ealaíne s'aicí éagsúil agus nuálaíoch ó 1989 amach. Úsáideann sí grianghrafadóireacht, físeán, fuaim, holagrafaíocht, taibhealaín, dealbhóireacht, suiteáil srl., ina cleachtas ildisciplíneach.
I mí Eanáir 2006 chruthaigh sí cailín beag agus ó shin i leith tá togra speisialta idir lámha aicí darbh ainm "Creating Babies versus Art"
Hilary Gilligan is a professional artist, born, raised, living, working and creating in County Sligo. She lectures in Fine Art at the Atlantic Technological University, Sligo.
Educated in Ireland, Ontario College of Art and Design University, Toronto, Canada 1989 and awarded a Master's Degree in Fine Art from Ulster University, Belfast in 1997
Her art practice since 1989 is diverse, explorative and innovative. Methods include photography, film, video, audio, holography, print, ceramics, sculpture, installation, projection, site-specific, live performance, multimedia, intervention, landscape, environment, street, public, private, temporary, permanent, community, commission, collaborate, curate, manage, direct, design, lecture, teach, facilitate, workshop, educate, consult, committee, volunteer, organise, research, study, learn, exhibit and travel.
In January 2006 she created a little baby girl and since then has been involved daily in the contemporary research of "Creating Babies versus Art"

Hilarys live performance artwork series of " Healing the Artist " will be a one hour event as part of the arts programme. 04 August 2023, 4pm Approximately 45 to 60 minutes. (Throughout the duration, the audience are free to wander in and out, take photographs, move closer and ask questions). Taru Acupuncture & Massage, Lettermacaward, will be collaborating with the artist.

Eimear King
Is ealaíontóir agus grianghrafadóir í Eimear King a oibríonn mar riarthóir in Ionad Ealaíon Thiobraid Árann Theas. Tá dioplóma aicí in Ealaín agus an Timpeallacht ó WIT, agus tá céim aici sna Meáin Chruthaitheacha ó TUS. Léirigh sí, agus chur sí i láthair, clár ealaíon ar Tipp FM, agus déanann sí podchraoladh do STAC faoi láthair.
Tógann sí grianghrafanna gan stad agus breathnaíonn sí ar an dúlra go díograiseach. Toisc go bhfuil sí ina cónaí i mbaile tuaithe ní bhíonn an fhiántas i bhfad uaithí ariamh. Is ionspioráid fíor-mhór iad spioraid na háite, agus déanann sí a dícheall iad seo a ghabháil ina híomhánna.
Eimear King is an artist/photographer and the administrator at South Tipperary Arts Centre. She has a Nat Dip in Art & Environment from WIT, sand a BSc (Hons) in Creative Media from TUS. She produced & presented an arts programme on Tipp FM, and now produces a podcast for STAC. She has since completed several projects for Culture Night and Creative Ireland. She is an obsessive photographer and a keen observer of nature, in both urban and rural settings. Living in a rural Irish town means that these worlds intersect in a myriad of ways, and the wildness is never far away. Being very much influenced and inspired by the natural world, and the elements, she is enchanted with the ancient, and the unseen, and the spirit of place, and endeavours to capture this in her images.

Maria Coleman
Is ealaíontóir ildisciplíneach í Maria Coleman atá paiseanta faoin gcruthaitheacht cibé bealach a thagann sé chun cinn. Is minic a déanann sí tionscadail a droideann an bhearna idir cruthaitheoirí gairmiúla agus cruthaitheoirí úra. Bhunaigh sí an comhchoiteann ealaíona 'Samhlaigh' i 2022.Tá céim aici sa Mhínealaín (Dealbhóireacht) ó LSAD agus M.Phil. sa Cheol agus i dTeicneolaíocht na Meán ó Choláiste na Tríonóide. Mar thoradh ar an taighde PhD a rinne sí sa 'DIT' foilsíodh caibidil sa leabhar 'The Performing Subject in the Space of Technology.' (2015).

Maria Coleman is a multidisciplinary, socially engaged artist. She is passionate about creativity in its many forms and her projects and workshops frequently seek to bridge the gap between professional and novice creatives. In 2022 she founded Samhlaigh Arts Collective. She has a degree in Fine Art (Sculpture) from LSAD and an M. Phil. in Music and Media Technology from Trinity College. Her PhD research conducted at the School of Art, Design and Printing at DIT. resulted in a chapter published in the book 'The Performing Subject in the Space of Technology.' (2015).
Recent socially engaged projects include 'Filleadh Cholmcille' (supported by Connecting for Life Donegal and First Fortnight) and 'Fís Feasa' (Cruinniú na nÓg). In 2021 she wrote, directed and produced the art films 'An Caol Áit', 'Síle na gCíoch ar an Trá' and 'Macalla Cholmcille'

Tá an suiteáil meáin mheasctha seo mar chuid de shaothar níos mó ar téama 'An Cailleach' a rinneadh le tacaíocht ó Scéim Sparánachta ó Ealaín na Gaeltachta.
Maria's work 'Ainnir, Máthair, Cailleach' (Maiden, Mother, Crone) is part of a larger body of work on the theme of An Cailleach made with support from an Ealain na Gaeltachta bursary.This mixed media installation will be on show in the Tuatha na nEalaíon exhibition space, The Old Café, Dungloe Centre, Main St., Dungloe.
